The original iPhone - Born in Israel
The biggest announcement that happened in Silicon Valley in the past month was the launch of iPhone, Apple's new revolutionary cell-phone. Right with it came the announcement from Cisco - iPhone is a brand they own. Apple did not ask permission, and it will probably cost Steve Jobs something.
So far, old news. But not many people know that the iPhone was originated in Israel. The original iPhone was a product developed by Infogear, an Israeli company that was acquired by Cisco in 2000 (Check this) for an outstanding amount of $300M (We will wish those good times will return).
I remember Infogear well. I was at Commtouch back then, and I tried to get in touch with them and see if we can integrate our web-based email to their product. Not much came out of those conversations, and actually not much came out of their products in general.
However, with the new Apple iPhone, maybe some of the $300M investment will be returned...

Are you insane! How does this relate?
The productions are not identical in anyway!
Touch screen, landline based telephones+internet have been around for ages.
Kingscross station in London have had them for 6 years.
Your iphone is a landline, not a sophisticate bit of kit like the Apple 'iphone'.
From what I can see, it bares no relationship other than a name!
Your comments are irrelevant, unfounded and only vague stipulation.
What iphone delivers is OSX on a handheld machine. A bullet proof, powerful computer
interface that has been leading computer operating systems and
programming for almost 7 years.

I have to agree. As much as I love Israeli high-tech, this is complete crap.
