In today's world, writing about something that happened 2 weeks ago, is almost like writing about last year's snow (A nice translation from Hebrew...). However, since this is the 1st post, it's important to mention Gemini's Internet Round table. The event was in our offices, and included, beyond the Gemini team, 25 of the local Internet leaders & entrepreneurs.
The keynote presentation was given by Bob Rosenschein, who gave a great talk about the history of his company - Gurunet (Now Answers.com). I must say that his story reminded me of Forrest Gump - Someone (In this case a company) that is following the exact historical path of the Internet 97-2005. They started as a .com company. They Raised too much money ($25M!!). Then, in the 2001-2 crash moved to an enterprise model, returning to the .com world in 2003-4. Today, they have a very nice company and offering, and even managed to go public last year.
Following Bob, I gave a small presentation, discussing Gemini's vision going forward (regarding Internet). My main point - we had basically no Internet activity in 2000-5, and we hope to have a lot in 2005-10. I hope I will be part of this growth.
